Memory Work

Memory Verse Tests
The weekly memory verses are tested on Fridays. Students can look up the verses at I use this online version of the NIV Bible as the tested version, so be sure to use this online version, too.

The verses for the whole year are listed here. We take them in order, so it's easy to find which one comes next.

The verse point value is determined by counting the number of words in the verse, plus the Bible reference (ie., John 3:16). I count how many of the words are written correctly in order. Divide the total number of correctly written words by the total possible points to calculate the score (ie., 27/27 or 100%).

For example, John 3:16 (see the Syllabus)

Verse #3:

John 3:16 (NIV) (27 points; 26 words in the verse, plus the reference)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
